The project has recorded more than 25 million working hours without a lost time injury, as construction advances across the residential, hospitality and community assets.
The Sustainable City, Yiti has achieved more than 25 million safe working hours without a Lost Time Injury, a measure of how a project of this scale is delivered rather than how it is marketed. The site spans nearly one million square metres.
Work is progressing simultaneously across the masterplan. The release names the Yiti Marina Hotel, the Plaza, marine and wadi protection works, the Sustainable District villas, the school and nursery, The Arc serviced apartments, a four star hotel and wellness centre, and the landscape and public realm works.
The community remains committed to net-zero emissions by 2040, with 100 percent water recycling, complete waste diversion from landfill, and up to 80 percent self-sufficiency in local food production.
